During this workshop you will use your creativity to design a one of a kind silver clay oak leaf & acorn necklace. You will create a silicone mould of a real acorn and then make a silver clay cast. You will also create a silver metal clay oak leaf by painting paste onto a real leaf. You will dry and refine the pieces ready for firing.
I will kiln fire and finish all pieces after the workshop and will deliver locally by hand or post within 2 days.
Acorns and oak leaves will be provided but feel free to bring your own dried specimens from a fresh autumnal walk (approx. sizes: oak leaf 4x2cm/ acorn 1x1cm).
This workshop is suitable for all levels of ability, no prior experience is needed.
What is Metal Clay?
Silver metal clay is manufactured from 100% recycled scrap silver from medical, electronic, automotive and many other industries. What makes it a magical material to use is it's versatility and ease to texture and mould just like any other clay. After shaping, drying and firing the final result is solid hallmark quality silver.
You will receive an email confirmation upon booking, with further details sent a week before the workshop
