I love mixmedia and adore seahorses , blue and sparkles are especially my favourite so had great fun sculpting this , it’s even better in person

Full description
Handcrafted seahorse sculpture was fun to design , he is built up in layers of paper /cardboard with wood glue as a base , then sculpted over with a strong modelling paste , this is then sealed so I could the paint the metallic acrylic colours on him .
The sea horse is varnished in 4 layers of gloss resin like varnish and the background is in a soft satin , apart from the tiny 3 d bubbles that are in the sea background which are also gloss varnish . He has tiny sparkles all over as well as in the background which catch the light . He also is embellished with tiny areas of gold gilding wax . Great for a bathroom or anyone that loves sea horses …. I have named the sculpture ‘ at one with the sea ‘
Canvas will be signed and dated
Canvas size is 30 cm by 40 cm , and at the seahorses biggest part he protrudes 2.5 cm from the canvas .
I hope a he finds a good home to brighten up anyone’s home decor
