I visit my family on Lismore, one of the Inner Hebridean islands and it is always hopping with hares. The island is quiet and perfect for moonlit walks, it was on one such walk that I decided to do a hare. The slate grey and white pebble at the hare's chest came from a beach on the island.
I coloured the self levelling cement with ultramarine pigment to capture the lovely bluish glow of moonlight.
