Full description
Very occasionally, we find a piece of broken gin bottle with a boar's head on it. This pendant is one of those, and we have tumbled it until it is rounded and smooth. The gin bottle was made by United Glass, and the code on it indicates the type of bottle. Luckily the bottle was very large, so the bottom was thick and stayed intact despite being tossed by the waves. This makes an unusual pendant with historical interest, which can also be used as a sun catcher.
The pendant is 5.5 cm high, 5 cm wide and 6 mm thick. The total length of the sterling silver chain plus pendant is 53.5 cm. If you would like a different length necklace please let us know the length you would like.
Our jewellery is individually hand made in Chudleigh, Devon. We collect our materials ourselves, mainly from local beaches. Each piece of glass is unique, so each piece of jewellery is unique. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges in sand (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The pendant will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
