Full description
This lovely antique, patchwork block dates from the 1800’s and has been turned into a lovely table mat or pot holder. Edged in a French General fabric for Moda. I’ve chosen a soft pattern that doesn’t detract from the beautiful patchwork design which has been hand quilted. The backing is a plain cream, and there are some light marks on some of the pot holders.
FOR LIGHTWEIGHT USE ONLY - not suitable for extremely hot items straight from an oven. Ideal to use as a mat to protect a surface from scratches. As a pot holder, it is ideal for use on warm dishes, pan handles or pot lids. Would also make a lovely decorative piece on any surface in the kitchen.
As the item is made from antique fabric there may be imperfections commensurate with its age, that just add charm to the finished item. Please do not buy if you prefer your vintage fabrics to be perfect.
