Full description

PICTURE FRAME - 4 x 6in Photograph in a Black or White Coloured frame overall size 180 x 130mm with a Polycarbonate front. There is a Strut on rear so that it can sit on the window sill or desk.

PHOTOGRAPH - I took this photograph in May 2023 at an East Anglian motor show

HISTORY - The Citroen Traction Avant was manufactured from 1934 to 1956 under various model names( 7,11,15/6, Light 12, Light 15, Big 6) working through the Second World War. It was innovative in using a monocoque body allowing a low slung look as well as rack and pinion steering in 1936 and the hydraulic self-leveling suspension in 1954.

The right hand cars were built in Slough to escape import tax and around this time there were two models produced, the Light Fifteen with 1911cc four cylinder (The one depicted) and the Big Six with a 2866cc Six cylinder engine.
