Please enjoy browsing and should you buy a doll she will be packaged in an organza bag. I have been given literally hundreds and will use them until they run out rather than let them go to landfill. Also I have been asked why I don't often repeat combinations of fabric with the dolls. It is because I tend to buy remnant stock where I can, tiny pieces of fabric that are too small for most people to use. So often I have only enough to make one doll. A tiny bird pattern, more delicate and reduced to the size of the mice. Such a pretty fabric, this version is in cotton flannel, so cosy xx

Full description
This is Spindle, she is a hand embroidered robin rag doll. I use no paint to delineate the pattern but work freehand embroidery onto self colour cloth to make the plumage both on the front and the back of the doll. Spindle is dressed in a pretty berry patterned cotton flannel from Lewis and Irene called Winter Berry with coordinating underskirt and a final tulle lace underskirt to finish. She has stripy legs and little leather shoes. Her dress is finished with buttons and ribbon and she carries a little sachet that is also embroidered. She has a little brass ring to her back so she can hang. Rosemary is added to her stuffing for a gentle scent and she a rose quartz to her heart.
She stands just seven inches tall. The same size as the mice.
She is, as are all my girls, warm and companiable with a touch of English whimsy. I hope she makes you smile. Please remember she is not a toy and is not suitable for children.
