I was inspired to design this wall hanging as a a tribute to one of my favourite books, 'Wheels of Life' by Anodea Judith, an excellent guide to the Chakra system and a fantastic read. I really love vibrant, bold colours and this allowed me to thoroughly indulge in this passion.

Full description
This vibrant, wall hanging depicts the seven Chakra System. Symbolic of the seven 'wheel like' energy centres that we all have at our inner core, reflecting aspects of our consciousness and essential for our lives.
Each Chakra symbol has been individually designed. Coordinating fabrics have been chosen to represent aspects of each Chakra. The designs have a distinct number of Lotus Petals and symbols for the corresponding vowel sounds.
The Chakra designs have been appliqued onto a French navy background to show off the radiant colours. The wall hanging has been wadded and free motion quilted with a star design to add texture and a luxurious feel. The edges have been finished with a coordinating fabric border.
From top to bottom the hanging measures 233cm and 40cm wide. It comes complete with a wood and metal hanger that has a star feature at the top, all ready to hang!
I think this would make an excellent meditation aid. It would also look stunning as home decor or in a professional capacity to highlight the Chakras in Retreats or Complementary Therapy centres. It would also make an amazingly unique gift.
