I love Krakus gherkins. Other gherkins are available but these are the BEST! I wanted to celebrate my love of this magical snack with a lino print. I don't know why. The idea popped in my head and I went with it.
When I was a kid there weren't any 'foreign food' shops in the valleys. We had to go all the way to Wallys in Cardiff, so these gherkins were a very special treat.

My take on the famous (?) Krakus Gherkin jar label. A design classic!
Created from an original line drawing, the print you receive is one of a limited edition of 10, hand-printed on Japanese Ho-Sho paper, in black Cranfield ink.
As each print is created by hand there will be tiny variations which adds to the individual magic of each original artwork. I have signed each print and there is an edition number (ie 1/10, 2/10 etc…) The print measures approximately 20 x 18 cm and is unframed and unmounted. It will be wrapped in recycled tissue paper and sent in a tube/reinforced envelope.
For every sale I make I will donate some money to charity.
