Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a star, a very sparkly star.
I've designed it with 8 diamond shaped points made from sparkly iridescent clear glass and at the centre a gorgeous nugget fused in my kiln with a special dichroic glass topping. The nugget in this star is a lovely bright yellow colour.
The iridescent textured glass gives the star a super shimmer with hints of turquoise and pink.
The star is 10 cm in diameter and hangs from a silvery chain attached via a soldered wire ring to the top of the star. I supply it with a suction pad so you can hang it in the window.
You can also hang it from a branch of your Christmas tree if you want to.
This item is totally individual. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. I can make this in different colours if you prefer. Please send me a message if you do.
My suncatchers are for all year round, they don't need to be put away when the festive season is over.
