Full description
Textured sterling silver earrings inspired by moss and lichen with a pink Tourmaline set into the curve of the bottom edge. The textures are achieved by heating up my scraps of silver with added silver nuggets and silver dust. I have oxidised the pieces to accentuate these textures and this is preserved with penetrating, preserving wax.
The pink Tourmaline cabochons have a diameter of 4.5mm and are hand set in fine silver.
The total length is 19mm/ 0.75 inches, from the top of the silver piece and they are fastened to the ear, so they sit on the earlobe, with a sterling silver ear post and scroll back fastening.
These would make a perfect present for an October birthday as tourmaline is the birthstone for this month.
All silver is eco sourced from a UK supplier.
Posted in a recycled cardboard gift box; tied with raffia ribbon; ready to be gifted and posted in plastic free packaging .
