I wish the BBC still did TV programmes about patchwork and embroidery like they did in the 70s. Gentle slow shows lingering over stitches and fabrics. Not that I saw them, but I've come across so many vintage books with the words "accompanying the BBC series" on them and sighed a little at the very thought. This is one of them. Published in 1978 and 64 pages of tips, ideas and projects. And yes, there's a waistcoat. There's always a waistcoat.
