Horse chestnut conker leaf suncatcher made in beautiful amber glass by Carole’s Glass.
I love autumn when all the trees are changing colour. This is a new design for me. The horse chestnut or conker seem to be the first trees to loose their leaves so what’s better than to have your own autumnal coloured leaf.
These have been made using of amber stained glass. Each piece of glass has been hand cut, ground, washed, foiled and soldered together before being washed again.
I have added the veins of the leaf using tinned copper wire. Twisted tinned wire has been used for the stalks and hanging ring at the end.
I have 3 leaves available in different types of amber. You will be asked to state which leaf you’d like when adding to the basket.
Clockwise from top left the glass used is amber hammered glass, amber sea glass, amber sparkle glass.
These measure top left 15cms cms wide x 13.5cms high, bottom right 13cms x 14cms and bottom left 13cms x 12.5cms excluding the wire stalk.
I will supply a window hook so you can hang it up as soon as received.
I normally post the following working day and this will be sent using Royal Mail Tracked 24.
