WHAT IS FINE SILVER/SILVER CLAY?
Fine silver is made from precious metal silver clay, which looks and feels like normal sculpting clay but contains particles of silver mixed with a non-toxic organic binder. The silver particles are recycled silver reclaimed from medical, scientific and communications equipment so it's eco friendly too!
Once the clay is kiln fired, the binder burns away leaving a piece which is 99.9% pure silver (compared to sterling silver which is only 92.5% pure silver, the remainder being mainly copper).
Fine silver contains no other metals. It's tarnish resistant and, due to its purity, less likely to cause any reactions on the skin.
