I have always loved the sea, I love being in the sea, looking at it and being nearby. It fills me with energy and hope, even on a winters day, I am immediately happier.
I think the sea is mysterious and part of that is due to the incredible number of species that live beneath the waves but also the rocks and sand below. This painting was inspired by some aerial images of the Med sea, where the crystal clear waters show the rocks and sand below. I noticed rippled in the sand of the seabed as well as the tranquillity it gave me, even from a photograph. I tried to recreate this feeling in my painting by using blue-green paint colours and layers of paint to create depth and texture below.

Original acrylic painting of an aerial view of the sea. Looking down at the turquoise sea, the sand and rocks along the seabed.
I am inspired by the sea especially the Mediterranean and Cornish coast. I have developed a loose and still abstract style with my acrylic paintings that not only express my feelings and emotions towards to the seas and ocean, but also one that is possible with my multiple neurological and pain limitations. I have built up resilience and ways of coping with pain, which include creating artwork of things that inspire me or I am passionate about. I also love sharing this with other art and natural world lovers. I have priced my artwork at reasonable and affordable prices, making them accessible to everyone and at sizes that make wonderful gifts, i.e. Christmas, Birthdays, Get Well and other special occasions.
I will regularly update my store with my original art. You will find a selection of artwork in a variety of mediums, all inspired by nature and wildlife. I particularly love to draw and paint animals especially, Birds. I will occasionally consider commissions of coastlines and animals in my unique style.
