A little village snail ready to help out with the salad crop ...
This is a 'one of a kind' creation having been entirely handmade without the use of moulds here at my studio on the Sussex Coast. Modelled with my own blend of polymers before sealing with lacquer, this snail has sparkling onyx eyes. The snail is two inches long.
About the Artist:
Ann Galvin is a professional multi-media artist with thirty years experience. After studying Sculpture and Ceramics, she began her professional career as a freelance illustrator. She later returned to modelling in clay, polymers and cold porcelain. She has exhibited widely at exhibitions and galleries and has been a member of many Sussex collectives. Her work has been featured in Dolls House and Miniature Scene Magazine.
The Sussex Gnome Village is situated in the Old Loom Mill Craft Centre. Previously these tiny gnomes were exclusively available at this location. Here at Elf World Creations we are aware that many of our visiting collectors are not always able to return to buy more companion gnomes and accessories directly from the Village. So ... as requested we have brought the Gnome Village to Folksy ...
