Being in need of a special gift for a friend I decided to weave a shawl in their family tartan. I wove enough fabric for three shawls. The Robertson tartan is a really lovely design with large colourblocks of the three colours. The red block is repeated twice so the overall colour of this shawl appears to be red.

Full description
A beautiful generous tartan shawl. Woven by weaver Emma Baker on a floor loom using fine merino lambswool and the characteristic 2/2 twill weave. This shawl is beautifully soft with a lovely drape and can be worn over the shoulders or round the neck like a scarf.
Dimensions: 1.7m long, width is 42cm with a 1cm fray detail at each end.
