A very warm welcome to my collection of original artwork.
If you are buying artwork as a gift, I can gift wrap the painting and send it on to the recipient. Just send me the details at checkout. Prior to posting, framed paintings will be covered with glassine paper before being carefully encased in a protective wrap. Wherever possible, I reuse internal wrapping materials I have collected. The painting will then be secured in a heavy duty mailing box. For unframed artworks, the paintings will be mailed in a reinforced, hard backed envelope.
(9) This original painting is called, 'No Ordinary Day.' Standing in the middle of nowhere in a beautiful landscape can bring us peace and provide a sense of awe. I have always enjoyed find standing stones and thinking about their purpose and how they have connected people with the landscape over the centuries. This will make an ideal gift for any occasion.

Full description
This is a small original artwork. Set within a landscape in Scotland rests a standing stone with small stones settled at its base. It is set slightly off-centre so that the eye is drawn to the distance. I have used professional quality acrylic paint and layered this paint with a range of knives, brushes and twigs. Layering the paint and scratching into it as it dries provides a sense of ruggedness.

- It is mounted and ready for a frame of your choosing.
- This original work will brighten up any small space or would look great as part of a collection.
- The painting has had a protective coat applied and has been varnished.
