Full description
You could have your very own piece of enchanted woodland. I made this extra large piece by needle felting with beautiful wool fibres. Standing 32 cm at it’s tallest point, this is my largest piece of work.
On a mound of rich dark soil lies a bed of soft lush moss and nestled in the moss are toadstool mushrooms of all sizes, resplendent in their wonky caps of deep red and cream.
You will see mosses in rusty oranges and reds, olive greens and lime greens. The patches of curly moss are sourced from sheep that have naturally curly ringlet fleeces.
If you look closely you will see cute little baby toadstools of all sizes poking their cheerful caps out of the moss. You will also notice areas where the rich brown soil shows through.
Height (tallest point): 32 cm/12.2 inch.
Width: 19 cm/7.5 inchDepth: 16 cm/6.3 inch.
One of the great things about my needle felted creations is that because they are made with natural wool fibres they are completely biodegradable and when their life as ornaments are over, they will break down naturally as organic matter.
