Autumn is my favourite time of year, the colours nature shows us are indeed a wonderful sight to behold. the crisp greens of summer are transformed into rich oranges, warm reds and vibrant russets.
I see the seasons change in the local woodland, daily walking the dog along the many forest paths near to me.
I have lived my working life with the constraints of a precise engineering background. Only now, as I embrace the autumn of my life, am I able to turn to my wood lathe to explore the freedom and organic guidance that only natural materials can offer.
Having lost the energy and focus to maintain a career, long covid has allowed me to explore the freedom of natural shape and form, and hopefully display autumn's bounty in the colours and organic, tactile nature of my wooden bowls.

Full description
A hand-turned wooden bowl made from spalted horse chestnut.
A beautiful example of a trifurcated bowl, where the tree splits into three branches, giving distinct, unique patterns in visually pleasing autumnal colours.
A nice bowl to be viewed from all angles, it deserves to be placed where regularly visible, and often rotated to appreciate the all-round beauty.
This bowl measures six inches in diameter, with a height of three inches. it retains areas of original irregularity on the outer face.
Intended primarily as a display item, finished in a light wax polish after four coats of danish oil, this is water resistant but not intended for sustained exposure to moisture.
Free inland shipping, second class tracked. All orders ship within three days, packaged well for courier transit.
