I love African prints and was fascinated by this Shwe Shwe fabric. As part of the manufacturing process the fabric is starched. When it arrives it is very stiff but after washing becomes a beautiful soft fabric with a lovely feel to it.

African print fabric clutch bag.
Handmade kiss clasp bag in a stunning bright orange cotton fabric with concentric circles that look like LP records.
This amazing fabric is known as Shwe Shwe fabric and is made in South Africa.
Lined in orange and white circles cotton with dense interlining giving a lovely plush feel and bottom darts add shape and some structure.
So versatile, also perfect as a makeup bag and the addition of an optional chain turns it into a small handbag.
The bronze coloured metal frame is hand stitched using a thick pearl cotton thread.
This unique bag is individually made by me in my relaxing and tranquil little West Sussex garden studio.
Approximate size:
23cm (9”) wide x 17cm (6.7”) tall excl. the frame.
Frame: 12.5cm (5”) wide.
Optional chains: 60cm (23.5”) or 120cm (47”).

Spot cleaning with warm water is recommended due to the metal frame.
