I love working with tartan and tweed fabrics.
My love for my country and it's heritage is something I am proud of.
Many people scattered across the globe are of Scottish descent. Bringing that piece of Scotland into their lives at Christmas is a wonderful idea for a gift.
Besides the Scottish diaspora, there are many collectors of world nativities who may still need that special set from Scotland to add to their collection

This 10 piece Scottish nativity is handcrafted in Scotland by me.
I use a random variety of tartan and tweed wool fabrics all sourced from a mill in Scotland.
No two nativities will be the same.
The set consists of:
Mary (she has ginger coloured hair, of course!)
Joseph
Baby Jesus, wrapped in linen asleep in a crib
Shepherd with staff
2 hand needle felted sheep
3 wisemen/kings. One holds a bagpipe, the others bear gifts. Their tartan cloaks are embellished with various beads.
An angel , completed in white felt and wears a celtic cross around her neck. I've placed her on a small plinth for photographing, hence, she looks taller than the other figures but in reality she isn't.
The faces of the figures are hand felted. Their hair and beards made from dyed wool fleece.
The core of the figures is shaped foam which is covered with wadding fabric. The last layer being the tartan and tweed fabrics.
The figures stand approx 3.5-4 inches tall and about 2 inches in width. There could be some minor variations as I handcut everything myself.
Decorations , (star, etc) not included.
Shipment is with Royal Mail Tracked
