I recently visited the East Coast and was shocked by how much of the coast has disappeared -and the recent rains are making it happen more quickly. This inspired me to create a textile art picture of the edge of the cliffs. I've included a Little Gull as we saw lots of them on the beaches and cliffs/

A needlefelt picture of a Little Gull.

Needle felted Little Gull with a background of cliff and sea and sky. Wool curls give the sea and cliffs lots of texture. The Little Gull has a 3d effect and is hand stitched to background.
I have made the gull by needle felting wool fibres into shape. The seascape background is needle felted onto vintage blanket.
Framed in a new Ikea white wood frame without glass. No glass enables the full textures of the picture to be appreciated.
The wood frame measures 26 cms x 20 cms and is for hanging or standing.
I lovely piece to place in a bathroom, beach hut or coastal property. It would make an unusual gift for a bird watcher.
