The beautiful Lewisian Gneiss gemstone that I have used in this necklace is believed to encourage the wearer to believe in magic. It is 3000 million years old and is the oldest stone type in Scotland and found on the Scottish Hebridean islands and the Isle of Lewis.
This Scottish gemstone necklace would make a wonderful gift for a nature lover or as an anniversary gift or milestone birthday.
The flower sitting at the top of the gemstone is inspired by the Scottish primrose and its pretty heart shaped petals. It can only be natively found in the very North of Scotland. The gold in the centre of the flower is 24 kt gold foil and is applied using the ancient technique of Keum Boo.
This silver botanical gemstone pendant has been hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office and will be delivered gift wrapped. Other pieces of Scottish gemstone jewellery are also available from Thistledown Wishes.
