Wire-wrapped sea glass pendant with silver plated snake chain.
This sea glass pendant is a delicate pale lavender and a more unusual find.
Most lavender sea glass was originally clear glass but during the late 19th and early 20th century manganese was added to hide the green tinge of the clear glass. It is exposure of the manganese to UV rays in sunlight that turns the clear glass colour to lavender.
Hand-made in Ireland using locally sourced sea glass finds.
Wire-wrapped using silver plated copper jewellery wire with a tarnish resistant coating.
Silver plated snake chain with 925 sterling silver stamped lobster clasp in 3 length options at no additional cost.
Sea glass dimensions: length 3.5cm, width at the widest part 1.2cm (approximate).
