One of my favourite genre of photography is sunrises and sunsets. When I knew that we were going to Barbados I researched the resort and looked where the sun was rising and where it was setting. Google earth is brilliant for this. I new that just at the edge of the beach there was a cluster of palm trees and at the time of the year we were going the sun would be setting behind the palm trees. That was my goal to get the best sunset I had ever taken. Each evening I would go to the spot and work out the best composition the best location and the best time. By the 4th evening I had got it. Now all I needed was to get a clear path to take the shot. It was crowded with Wedding and resort photographers and on my chosen evening I had to be very firm with them to allow me 10 minutes to compose and take the shots. It was all worth it and the sunset as well as the sunrise shots I took were amazing. Well worthy of a tropical island.
