Onyx is a form of Chalcedony, part of the Quartz family, and similar to Agate.
In ancient times it was believed that Onyx would protect the wearer by absorbing negative energies
It was believed that Demons could be trapped inside the stone, rendering them harmless.
Dragonflies have existed on Earth for over 300 million years, so it comes as no surprise that a wealth of ancient beliefs surround them.
Around the world, dragonflies symbolise transformation and spiritual growth, strength and grace, joy and creativity.
In certain cultures they represent spirit guides offering protection and guidance.

Full description
Each earring features a 6mm black Onyx bead topped with an 8mm Tibetan style dragonfly bead in an antique gold finish, highlighted with 2mm black Onyx and 2mm golden Hematite, and a 4mm quality Austrian crystal in the colour 'jet'.
The dragonflies are nickel and lead free.
The beads are hung from black plated stainless steel ear-wires.
They would make a lovely birthday present, anniversary gift, gift for a nature lover, or simply a well-earned treat for yourself.
Handcrafted (by me!) in my home workshop here in Devon, UK
These earrings measure approximately 1.35 inches (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your Earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within the UK.
