Full description

This stained glass panel features a painted blue tit central insert, created using specialist glass enamels painted onto a clear, 'seedy' textured piece of glass, and kiln-fired to make the enamel permanent. The panel was then constructed using traditional leaded stained glass techniques, which have changed very little over the centuries. I set the blue tit in a surround of vibrant blue transparent art glass, using lead came, which was cut to size, soldered, and then cemented, black-leaded and finally polished.

The panel measures 23 x 19.5cm approx. It looks lovely displayed on a windowsill, or somewhere the light can catch it.

The panel is displayed in a handmade oak stand, and will posted with the panel and stand packed separately. Gently slide the panel into the clamps and use a screwdriver to tighten just enough to hold the panel. Do not over tighten as you risk cracking the glass or squashing the lead.

Note: The lead frame is perfectly safe to handle, as long as it is not ingested, but please wash hands after handling.
