Full description
A stunning hoop art picture featuring my hand embroidered felt tiger walking among meadow flowers. A lovely gift for tiger lovers of all ages, the soft lines and playful features of the young cub means it is also perfect for decorating a nursery, child's bedroom or playroom.
My own hand drawn design - originally created for my Tiger Tea party quilt - the cub was hand cut from pure wool felt in orange colour and embroidered by hand to a quilting cotton background using chain stitch and backstitch to create his lovely black and white stripey markings.
The picture was then mounted in a wooden hoop, and finished with a circle of dark orange wool felt, carefully hand stiched using blanket stitch - so the back is as neat as the front.
A simple white ribbon loop allows the textile art to be easily hung on a wall, or you can prop your picture on a shelf. Please display out of reach of young children.
Size - the hoop is 6 inches across, the hanging loop is another 3 inches.
Care - dust with a dry cloth or brush
