Apatite is a calcium phosphate, the same mineral that makes up the teeth and bones of all vertebrates.
It is found in an array of colours, most commonly blues and greens, but also yellows, browns and greys.
The stones I have used here are named 'Ocean Apatite' after their beautiful aqua hue.
Apatite is thought to stimulate clarity of thought, wisdom snd creativity.
Like all gemstones Apatite is sensitive to chemicals, abrasives and heat, but at a Mohs hardness of 5, it should be treated with extra care.

Full description
Dainty necklace featuring a trio of 7.5mm Tibetan silver flowers, highlighted with 2mm Onyx and separated by trios of AAA grade faceted Ocean Apatite.
On either side, a row of five 4mm black Onyx rounds leads to a trio of 5.5mm Tibetan silver flowers, again highlighted with 2mm Onyx and separated by trios of Ocean Apatite.
The necklace continues with alternating smooth and frosted black Onyx, finishing witha a Tibetan silver toggle clasp.
This clasp, like the flower beads, is nickel and lead free.
The Apatite beads have a beautiful light aqua, blue-green colour and a lovely sparkle.
Please note that Apatite is a fairly soft mineral and should be treated with care.
This pretty necklace would make a lovely birthday present, anniversary gift, friendship gift, or simply a well-earned treat for yourself.
Handcrafted (by me!) in my home workshop here in Devon, UK
This delicate necklace measures approximately 17 inches (43cm), but can be shortened or lengthened on request.
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a pretty organza gift bag.
