I have a friend who was finding it increasingly difficult to get outside. She really loved seeing the birds come to feed in the garden so I thought I'd create a feeder that brought the birds right up to her window so that she could enjoy their visits from the comfort of her chair.
When I added one to our windows it delighted my boys who were small at the time. Hearing the gentle bump of the robin land to feed gave us all a special moment to pause and be still while we marvelled at the little bird.
I'm really pleased to make a product that solves a difficulty and bring such happiness. I also love to work with willow as it is a very planet friendly material.

Using the ancient traditional craft of weaving natural, Uk grown, pliable willow this bird feeder is perfect for enjoying nature whilst remaining indoors. It is ideal for those working from a home office, for grandparents and those who love to see and feed the birds.
Willow is the traditional material to celebrate a 9th wedding anniversary so this or any of my willow wares are a perfect option.
This handmade, planet friendly bird feeder measures 15cm in diameter and is fixed to the glass of a window or door using the enclosed suckers. Suet balls and meal worms are the ideal bird food and this feeder is particularly successful with robins, blue tits and sparrows. The willow is grown here in the UK and retains its natural bark.
