Full description
The Downland Mice have arrived in the Gnome Village ... always willing to help in the dairy ... maybe eating just a little as they go ... here is Melinda, three inches tall on a grassed tableau ...
This is a 'one of a kind' creation; entirely handmade without the use of moulds here at my studio on the Sussex Coast. Modelled with artist blend polymers before sealing with lacquer, Melinda has sparkling black onyx eyes. She is three inches high.
About the Artist:
Ann Galvin is a professional multi-media artist with thirty years experience. After studying Sculpture and Ceramics, she began her professional career as a freelance illustrator. She later returned to modelling in clay, polymers and cold porcelain. She has exhibited widely at exhibitions and galleries and has been a member of many Sussex collectives. Her work has been featured in Dolls House and Miniature Scene Magazine.
The Sussex Gnome Village was situated for many years in the Old Loom Mill Craft Centre. Previously these tiny characters were exclusively available at this location. We have now brought the Gnome Village to Folksy ...
