This plant, the blue butterfly pea, is fascinating. Did you know you can make a tea with the flowers? A deep blue tea will turn purple when you add lemon juice, turning it a deeper shade of purple the more lemon juice you add. I first came across this plant whilst researching vintage Victorian botanical floral art and illustration. I loved it! So I painted it, and popped it on a card!
