Full description

Whether you're a lover of ancient Egypt or just love creepy crawlies in general this great scarab necklace is sure to make a statement!

The scarab beetle itself is around 2.5 inches or 6cm from wing tip to wing tip and has been set with a red rhinestone. It hangs from a necklace made with matching red glass beads and has an extender chain so it can be worn from just over 18 inches up to 20 inches. If you would like it shorter though just leave a note at checkout and I can adjust it for you free of charge.

The scarab beetle was often seen as a symbol of increased enlightenment, and of achieving a higher spirituality though obviously it is also associated with death as it was found in pyramids and burial chambers. Maybe for this reason scarab jewellery is popular with the goths and those who love the dark aesthetics.
