Full description

Dessert spoon hand stamped with BAKE NO PRISONERS. Although actually I wasn't concentrating and picked up the wrong letter die for the second 'O' so it read BAKE NO PRISQNERS. I overstamped it with an 'O' but if you look closely you can still see the little tail of the 'Q' and even adding dots to the 'O's didn't really help. You can't erase an impression in metal - first impressions really are crucial in hand stamping.

However. I may have had a senior moment but this is still a nice solid 1940s 'Resilco' alloy spoon and perfectly good for baking, eating or whatever you'd usually do with a dessertspoon, and it's a brilliantly groan-worthy pun too. It seems a pity to waste it so here it is in the bargain bin for a fiver and I hope it'll make someone smile!

Size matters? It's approx. 18cm long. And in case you want to know what you are putting in your cake, your mouth or wherever, the lettering is coloured black with a non-toxic, water-based acrylic ink. Hand washing will make it last longer than shoving it in the dishwasher.

Oh and there is a whole collection of these 1940s style spoons in my shop, just click the little thumbnail on the front page. I can personalise one for you if you don't see exactly what you want - most messages are possible so just ask!
