I have been growing willow since 2006 and now make willow wreath bases by the thousand each year. These are sold to customers wanting to make their own Christmas wreaths and florists who buy them for their own work.

Saturday 26th October 2024 at 12noon held here at Cherry Tree Flower Farm on the border of Bury and Bolton, about 8 miles north west of Manchester.
Get ready for a handmade, sustainable Christmas!
During this one hour workshop you will learn the basics of how to create your own willow wreath base from British grown willow.
The finished wreath base can be displayed inside or outside, as a beautiful, natural decoration, or can be used as a base for flowers, foliage and other decorations.
Each wreath is made entirely by hand from willow - no wire, twine glue etc is used - and measures approx 30cm across.
You will take home up to three willow wreath bases for you to decorate at home. Decorations are NOT included. If you do not complete three wreath bases you will be offered sufficient willow to make the remaining bases at home.
If the weather is mild and dry we will work outside. In case of cold or wet weather we will work inside. Either way, please dress in warm layers.
Tea / coffee included.
