Peridot is the transparent form of the mineral Olivine, and was mined by the ancient Egyptians, who called it 'the gem of the sun'.
These roughly oval shaped beads have a fresh lime-green hue, with good clarity and occasional inclusions.
It is the birthstone for August and Leo.

Full description
Each drop earring features a 6mm frosted black Onyx bead, 6x4mm gold sparkle rice bead and a pair of 4mm frosted black Onyx rounds with a 6x4mm Peridot oval between.
The Peridot ovals are a translucent, fresh apple green and the golden beads are coated iron with a sparkly finish that is emphasised by the matt black of the Onyx.
The beads are threaded onto gold vermeil pins and hung from gold vermeil ear-wires.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with 18k gold.
Peridot is a birthstone for August and Leo, making this perfect for an August birthday gift.
It would also make a lovely anniversary gift, friendship gift, or simply a well-earned treat for yourself.
Handcrafted (by me!) in my home workshop here in Devon, UK
These drop measures approximately 1.25 inches (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
