Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A Dragonfly tile in lovely shades of sky Blue and Teal..
The dragonfly has wings and body of Sky Blue. The head is a dichroic glass nugget I fused in my kiln. The surround is clear sparkle glass which has a super texture and shimmer.
I've then framed the suncatcher with a prettily textured teal glass border with blue corners.
I've added a twisted wire frame round the suncatcher for strength and neatness.
It looks wonderful in the window with the sun casting the colours which change with the light, It also makes a very pretty picture hanging on the wall.
The suncatcher is 14 cm top to bottom and formed from a 10 cm square.
It hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached on either side..
I I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure it is unique.
I also make this in other colours and also have a Butterfly in the same style. See last photo. You can find them as separate listings.
