Full description
The stained glass lacewing is a fresh, delicate piece of stained glass art replicating the intricate wings of a much-loved insect. The artwork creates vibrant, interesting refractions of light when hung in a window and reflects light beautifully when displayed against a wall.
It is a unique alternative to a stained glass butterfly for those who love the sparkle and intricacy of stained glass insects.
The piece combines a range of pale green, clear iridescent and textured glass as well as vintage glass samples. The eyes are a warm yellow-gold iridescent which is repeated in a flash on the lower wing.
Measures approximately 37cm high and 23cm across with posable antennae measuring an additional 14cm as shown in the photographs. The lacewing is suspended from a silver coloured chain to match the polished solder lines.
The Green Lacewing will be carefully parcelled in recycled and recyclable materials to ensure it arrives to its new home safely. All work is sent by Royal Mail signed for delivery.
Please note: Solder contains lead so please wash hands after handling to be as safe as possible.
All Glass Lore items are crafted with joy by Emma in her little East Yorkshire glass room.
