I have been looking for ways to reduce our use of cling film. As there's only 2 of us in the house we often have leftovers. When I started working with PUL fabric I realised that this is the ideal fabric to use for covering bowls of leftovers in a way that is sustainable and eco-friendly.

Full description

These bright bowl covers will be a cheery addition to your kitchen, keeping food fresh and helping reduce usage of cling film and plastic bags. They are prefect for covering bowls of leftovers in the fridge, keeping flies off salads before serving, covering thawing food or for keeping rising bread dough cosy.

This set of 2 covers will fit bowls approximately 19cm and 16cm (7.5" and 6"). They are made from 2 co-ordinating fabrics. The bigger one is navy with a strawberries and bees design. the small one is a red and white check. The PUL lining (details below) is plain white. The elastic hem holds the cover securely on your chosen bowl. They can be used in the fridge or freezer. If soiled, the lining can be wiped clean or the whole cover can be washed in the washing machine and air dried – much more hygienic than beeswax wraps.

This item will sent using standard Second Class post unless you choose otherwise in the options. We often use recycled packaging.

PUL stands for Polyurethane Laminate. It is a soft, waterproof and breathable fabric, manufactured in an environmentally friendly way. The waterproofing comes from a thin layer of plastic which has been bonded to polyester fabric. It is safe for food use and has been tested for at least 300 washes. Whilst the fabric is not totally plastic free, using these products could significantly reduce your use of single use plastics.
