The Ilyra brooch is part of Liquidore Collection.
Born from a small collection of marine souvenirs from the British coast, Liquidore illustrates the unique beauty that humankind and Mother Nature create together. Beyond the conflict and destruction, there is harmony and striking creation. Complementing each other, human craftsmanship enhancing nature's organic beauty, they take aesthetics to an entirely new level. And with each shell and rock completely one of a kind, all encased in pure silver and gold, there are no boundaries to awe.

Full description
A completely unique brooch, handcrafted from a wonderful natural mussel with golden and blue hues and rich organic textures. An extremely rare find, this double shell with barnacles has been preserved intact on the British coast to be discovered and turned by myself into an extraordinary piece of art jewellery, using ancient and contemporary metalsmithing techniques. Electroformed in pure silver to preserve all its beautiful details and plated with 24k yellow gold, the jewel is a one of a kind design, making you the only person to ever own such a treasure. The ultimate combination of luxury and craftsmanship, with the spirit of nature embedded deep inside.
Dimensions:
7 x 4 x 4.5 cm
Quality:
This piece has been carefully handcrafted by myself in England, using a unique double mussel shell collected by me from the English seaside and then fitted with a sterling silver brooch back, before electroforming in pure silver. The electroforming process is a modern technology that encases objects inside metal by depositing it atom by atom using electrical current. I intentionally covered certain areas of the brooch with pure silver to protect the shell from damage and make it an extremely durable jewellery piece, while also leaving other areas uncovered to reveal the organic beauty underneath. I finished off with a layer of 24k gold plating which not only adds the beautiful colour contrast but also prevents the silver from tarnishing.
