Marta
This drypoint etching is based on a real tree with a real little statue of a buddha in a farm in Somerset, where I stayed for a few weeks. I was learning permaculture and the surroundings were absolutely inspiring with hundreds of shades of green and animals and insects I hadn´t seen before. Every day, before breakfast, I would spend a few minutes by this tree, thinking what it would´ve looked like before sheltering its little buddha statue.

Full description
This is a handprinted drypoint etching on Fabriano 5 paper (350gsm, 50% cotton, vegan paper and acid free) using oil based inks (non-toxic, no solvents or harmful substances used).
The process: a plastic plate was reclaimed from a broken photo framed and "scratched" with pointy tools in order to create the image. The most delicate part is the ink polishing, producing texture marks (e.g. grass) or subtle tones by removing the right amount of ink with a cloth. It takes about 45 minutes to ink it!
Size: 10" x 20". Signed.
Sold unframed (please get in touch if you´d like it framed).
