Full description
Measuring 28cm by 29.5cm, this delicate and elegant Heron drawing is called 'Patience' I was struck by the beautiful and ethereal scene and light, by the water, and my aim was to capture the light, the atmosphere and the stillness of the Heron. It was waiting and fishing at 'Fisher's Pond' in the Woodland Gardens in Bushy Park, Teddington.
I used chalk pastel and coloured pencil to create this drawing. I love to use chalk pastels on toned paper, as it enables me to smudge, blend and bring out the light with whites, yellows, light greens and lavender chalk pastels.
I can sign it on the front or back (in pencil), whichever you prefer.
