It's now definitely Xmas Shopping time! Folksy is packed full of fabulous gift ideas and of course SPOONS are at the top of my suggestions list - they are long-lasting, planet-friendly, practical, postable and can be personalised to make the perfect gift for anybody, whether it's a budget buy for the office secret santa, a stocking filler for your partner, a joke present for your best mate or a classy offering for those well-off rellies who have everything (tip: I bet they don't have one of my spoons).
HOLIDAY DATES: Please note the shop will be CLOSED for Xmas from Tues 16 Dec to Fri 2 Jan inclusive so don't leave it too late to order your presents!

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description

A big (21cm) vintage tablespoon hand stamped with 'ALIVE AND COOKING', just the gift for a cook you know, especially one who's maybe getting a bit older. It has an elegantly shaped handle and is silver-plated (EPNS). And yes, it's old, possibly even an antique by now (if I've read the tiny numbers correctly the design was registered in 1918), so it has wear marks and tarnish. At least some of the remaining tarnish would probably come off with a drop of silver polish if you didn't want the spoon to look quite so old!

The lettering is coloured with waterbased acrylic pigment; hand wash with care.

Perfect for use as a measuring spoon (it holds one tablespoon, funnily enough) or as a basting spoon, serving spoon, folding-in-cake-mix spoon, or weapon for fending off anyone trying to lick the bowl before it's empty.

There is a 'personalised spoons' collection in my shop so if you wanted a spoon of pretty much any other size and/or with pretty much any other wording, that would probably be possible, just contact me and I'll see what I can do.
