This art doll was inspired by the fabric. I realised I could cut out the butterflies and add them as an extra layer of detail to the main body. I think of her as a guardian spirit protecting nature and the beautiful butterflies and moths of our gardens.
Her hair is long but can be cut into a preferred style by her new owner. I do not name my dolls because I feel that her name should be her new owners choice.

Full description
Here is a hand sewn art doll she is a guardian of the natural world. She is made from cotton fabric, the butterflies are cut out from the fabric and backed with recycled sari fabric, they are sewn to her arms, front and back. Her face is modelled from air drying clay.
She is 25cm long and 12cm wide.
She is a collectable and not suitable as a toy for children.
