Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A Butterfly Tile in pretty teal and green shades.
The butterfly has wings and body of gorgeous teal glass. The head is a dichroic glass nugget I fused in my kiln. The surround is clear iridised glass which has a super texture and shimmer.
I've then framed the suncatcher with a pretty green textured glass with teal corners.
I've added a twisted wire frame round the suncatcher for strength and neatness.
It looks wonderful in the window with the light behind it, It also makes a very pretty picture hanging on the wall.
The suncatcher is 14 cm top to bottom and formed from a 10 cm square.
It hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached on either side..
I I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure it is unique.
I also make this in other colours and I also have a Dragonfly and a Bee in the same style. See last photo. You can find them as separate listings.
