One of a number of studies looking at waves and how they move. This one made it from the sketch stage to the canvasboard. I wanted to catch the curling action of the white foam as it folds downward from the wave-ridge.

Oils on canvasboard, measuring 10 x 8 inches (25 x 20cm approx). Unframed.
A little action-painting of a curling wave at the beach, ready to crash on-shore. Painted with artist-quality oils and lightly varnished.
The work will be protected with paper and card before final wrapping and dispatch.
