Full description
With lots of hair to tame, this modern day ‘Hippy’ has wrapped her locks in multi-coloured crocheted ribbons with beads attached, as she gets ready for a music festival. She has rescued her outfit from the back of her wardrobe as it was worn by her Grandmother in the Sixties and she has kept it since. She is called Yuna and is named after her Grandmother who she adored.
It is made of crocheted granny squares and triangles on a cream background with matching flowers added. The dress goes over an underskirt which has a wave border and which is attached to the body, the arms in their sleeves are then attached to the outside and therefore the clothes can’t be removed. The legs in their trousers are similarly attached, the shoes can be removed if necessary.
I crocheted her in Schachenmayr cotton thread from an amigurumi pattern by CAROcreated, available on Ravelry. She comes complete with a metal stand as shown and therefore measures 16” high, ready to be put on display as an example of a truly hand-crafted doll which has taken many hours to complete.
