I just love the colour of this fabric and straight away thought it would make a wonderful bag. I was searching my fabric stash looking for co-ordinating fabrics and the wool was sitting on the table next to me. The colours and textures all seemed to come together and I was inspired to use the couching technique to create a fabric I think looks a bit like Crewel Work.
I've had the bag pattern for ages and thought that the shape would be ideal for the fabrics. I decided to add wadding to the lining fabric and quilt it to add a softness to the whole structure. I think this bag would complement casual everyday outfits in most seasons.

Full description
Soft, luxurious shoulder bag Made from brushed fabric that I have embellished using a couching technique with variegated wool. This adds texture and creates an individual design, unique to the bag.
The bag is measures 41cm from the handle sides to the base, 27cm from the middle to the base and is 42cm wide. The handles are soft and made from the same fabric as the lining. They are 75 cm long but could be knotted to create a carry bag.
The interior fabric is a blue patterned polycotton which has been quilted onto a cotton wadding to give the bag structure yet softness. The interior has a phone pocket in contrast blue polycotton fabric which has also been used in the exterior piping along the base of the pocket. The bag has a sliver magnetic clasp for security.
The bag is roomy enough for plenty of belongings and would compliment a variety of outfits.
