Full description
An antique pastry or sweetmeat server with an ornate handle and a flat wide head, which I've hand stamped round the edge with the Shakespeare quote 'THINGS SWEET TO TASTE PROVE IN DIGESTION SOUR.' Which gets better the more you think about it...
This would make a nice little gift for a literary and/or foodie friend - or for someone who is a bit cynical and old - maybe give it together with a selection of sticky sweets or tiny pastries? Baklava perhaps?
I will send the spoon shown in the photos. This is a vintage (or probably antique) spoon so it does show signs of age and wear and has lost practically all of its original silver plating so it's never going to come up shiny no matter how much you polish. Trust me. The black in the letters is water-based acrylic ink (not dirt or tarnish or Sharpie marker). Hand wash with care.
Size matters? Length approx. 15.5cm.
